Special awards for people outside of the department who have gone above and beyond in their support of us.

The recipient of this award was a line officer in District No. 1 for 12 years, 4 years of which was spent as Chief. His leadership throughout the years has resulted in an increased level of District cooperation and to the completion of our District standards.

Leadership Award – Rick Pfeiffer
The recipient of this award is a leader in the District in many ways, especially in his dedication. This person has been a Commissioner in District No. 1 for 21 years and he is unfortunately (for us) retiring in February. Therefore, Somerset Fire & Rescue presents this leadership award to Commissioner Rick Pfeiffer – In Appreciation for your Generous Commitment of Time, Support and Dedication to Somerset Fire & Rescue.

Appreciation Award – The Hauss Family
Somerset Fire & Rescue would like to present an Appreciation Award to The Hauss Family – In Appreciation for Your Generous Commitment of Time and Dedication to Somerset Fire & Rescue’s Annual Santa Ride.

Donald J. Wilbur Award - Edward Kuhn II
This award is Somerset’s version of a Firefighter of the Year award. The member nominated must be an active firefighter and should demonstrate leadership, pride, and dedication to the Company. Their attitudes and actions should show they want to be the best firefighter they can be.

Officer of the Year Award - Captain Anthony Panchery
The member nominated for this award must be a line officer and should demonstrate excellent leadership skills. Their attitudes and actions should show unwavering pride in and dedication to the success of the Company.

Salvatore Pultro Award for Brotherhood and Duty - Lieutenant Peter Haver
The member nominated for this award must be active in the Fire Company but they do not have to be an active firefighter. The key to this award is that the member must demonstrate never-ending dedication to our membership and unwavering company pride. Their attitudes and actions should exemplify the true spirit of volunteerism.
