U-56-5 is a 2002 Ford 4X4  F-550 Medic Master aluminum body dive support unit and is capable of siuting 3 divers in the walk-in box.  U-56-5 is equipped with a 10K onboard diesel generator, 3000w Wil-Burt light tower, removable front and rear 5000# winch, numerous custom compartments and trays to store the specialized SCUBA equipment and dual awnings.  U-56-5 also features the sabre vent compartment ventilation system to dry the SCUBA gear while stowed reducing equipment down time.

Marine 2,3 and 4 are all Avon model FRB 380 inflatable crafts and are varying in age from 1992 to 2010.  All of our Marine units are powered by Mercury outboard motors. Marine 2 is stored inflated on a single trailer  for immediate use.  Marine 3 is stored un-inflated in U-56-5 for remote deployment.  Marine 4 is stored un-inflated in the fire station at the current time.  Marine 3 is slated to be deployed with Marine 2 on a new double decker trailer slated for delivery in 2011 further expanding our response capabilities.  Marine 4 would then reside in U-56-5 and be deployed from that vehicle.  The addition of the new trailer and...

Retired Rescue 563 was a 1989 International 4x4 chasis with seating for 5.  The chassis was fitted with a Sanford Fire Apparatus aluminum body.  Rescue 563 was powered by a International DTA466 engine and an Allison automatic transmission.  Rescue 563 was also equipped with a 750 gpm Hale single stage pump, 95 gpm class B foam system and a 500 gallon fiberglass water tank. This truck was originally built to address the narrow and inaccessable areas of our large condo/townhouse communities.  As time went on that role was diminished and the need to expand our technical rescue capabilities became more crucial.  This vehicle car...
